How did you get your start in real estate?
I began my Real Estate journey over 25 years ago in property management, then on to becoming an investor buying and selling, Acquiring rental properties, literally all hands on. Received my Real Estate License 7 years ago to serve the retail market. These milestones have taught me the tools I need to serve the client.
What would you say to millennials who consider this an “easy” profession to get into?
My advise to millennial’s who look at this profession as “easy” would be “don’t get into real estate”. It requires a great deal of discipline, integrity, patience, and understanding the law. Assisting a client on the purchase of a new home is one of the most important decisions they will make in their lives. A good agent, listens, learns, and targets the goal of the client using the tools and experience we train for everyday. Your job is to educate, navigate, and protect your client through closing.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I have several favorite things about my job, but my most favorite is the journey I take with my clients. As the saying goes “It’s not the destination, it’s the journey”. Changing lives, seeing the joy at closing, the relief of good decisions made, and the empowerment of knowledge felt by the client are the most rewarding. Every single deal is unique in it’s own way! No two are alike.
